The SAE IVC is a true Dual Mono. Two entirely separate Power Supply.

The original Filter Capacitors, the 4 at the top, are 6,000uF/50V General Electric.

They have all been upgraded with 22,000uF/63V, totalling 44,000uF per channel.

A higher 63V working voltage is necessary as the Mk IVC rail voltages are at +/- 55Vdc.

Product Description

This SAE Mk IVC has been completely redesigned to improve its performance. Instead of the original Quasi-complementary outputs, its power stage is now Full Complementary. The drive circuitry though, has been retained to preserve the essence of the original design.

Manufactured between 1973-1974, the SAE Mk IVC is still one of the most musical amplifiers around.
