On the left is a redesigned driver board with a full complementary power section under test.

After much efforts to stabilize the circuit with the new transistors, the 10KHz Sq display on the right is the final outcome. Resolution at 10Vpp into 8 W resistive.

A very clean display. No ringing and fairly fast rise time.

This SAE Mk IVC has been completely redesigned to improve its performance. Instead of the original Quasi-complementary outputs, its power stage is now Full Complementary. The drive circuitry though, has been retained to preserve the essence of the original design.

Manufactured between 1973-1974, the SAE Mk IVC is still one of the most musical amplifiers around.
