to AmpsLab's Loudspeaker Projects.
My
primary goal is to design speakers with the highest performance
at the minimum cost. To meet this criteria, my speakers
are developed with the aid of LMS, the state of the art
computer software by LinearX.
Unlike
other softwares that rely on simulations, LMS works in real
time. With this invaluable tool, I am able to view a crossover's
actual acoustic summation. This allows me to design crossovers
that are not simply based on the order of slope but optimal
in use.
When
it comes to sound reproduction, I regard mid-range transparency
as the foundation of any loudspeaker. This is not merely
a personal preference but one based on facts. It is widely
accepted that the majority of information is in the mid-range.
Therefore, all my speakers are voiced for exceptional vocal
and instrument clarity. With my speakers, you will find
you won't need to play loud to enjoy the music.
Bass
performance is dependant on the size of woofer used. For
full range applications, certain speakers will benefit with
the addition of subwoofers. Used on their own, they are
excellent for vocals and instruments like acoustic guitars.
