DCPROmk2
The
DCPROmk2 is to protect your loudspeakers from harmful
DC should your power amplifier sufffers failure. On
board is a fast acting sensing circuit that will disconnect
the loudspeaker when there's DC at the output of the
amplifier.
In
this latest version, there are two ways to power the
DCPROmk2. The easiest is to use the 24V input which
is available in our PSU15Reg.
The other option is to power the unit off
the supply rails of your power amplifier. This is
done through a 24V discrete regulator.
The
relay used in the DCPROmk2 is a high current 16A SPST
type. Please note that the relay shown above is for
demonstration purposes only. The relay supplied will
be whatever is in our inventory.
For
your convenience, the DCPROmk2 comes in two versions,
a 24V or a 12V relay. Below is a schematic of the
DCPROmk2. The DCPROmk2 is a very compact pcb. It measures
only 2.9" x 1.9" and is Double-Sided, FR4.
The
DCPROmk2 is one channel and is supplied Unassembled.
Two kits are required for stereo.
