STK4241mk2
Limited Edition
The
STK4241mk2 is a 2-channel Thick Film Hybrid power
amplifier module by Sanyo. The entire amplifier is
contained inside the flat pack. The advantage of this
technology is ease of manufacturing. Simply solder
a few resistors and capacitors and the power amplifier
will be up and running. No oscilloscopes and signal
generators are required. This makes it ideal for DIY.
Although
Sanyo datasheet states the STK4241mk2 is capable of
120W+120W into 8Ω, albeit at THD=0.4%, AmpsLab
feels this is pushing the envelope because it doesn't
address 4Ω loading. We have derated the power
output accordingly so that 4Ω speakers can be
driven properly.
